The House of Razor is pleased to announce the purchase of a new, young Hondo Black/Kincraig Brindle puppy.
The soon-to-be-renamed fawn female Ballyhill Opera is a November 2010 bitch puppy and will kennel with Kevin Hutton near Burford. She has an impressive pedigree, being a half sister to a Kevin Hutton Open Racer (Kilmalady Biffo) and to a winner of a Cork Group 1 (Kilmalady Torres) to name but two.
Hondo Black has been called 'America's most successful sire' by many and is seen as one of the leading UK sires. A winner of many races during his career, Hondo Black's biggest win came in 2002 when he won the $50,000 Southland Derby. Since retiring to stud, many of Hondo Black's offspring have been amongst the best dogs of their era (at both sides of 'the pond').
Kincraig Brindle was a multiple Open Race winner in Ireland whist her sire - Smooth Rumble - was a prolific performer 'Down Under'. He stood at Newpark Stud, Clonmel, and threw a string of top-class performers, notably stayers.
As mentioned above, Ballyhill Opera will soon be renamed to embrace the House of Razor suffix. Although plans are yet to be finalised, the current preferred new name is Smoothoppa Razor.
Understandably, we're extremely excited about our new puppy who is seen as a potential future Open Racer. Naturally, we will remain very patient and Biffy will be afforded every opportunity to mature in her own time. Certainly the House of Razor is anticipating exciting time and many more memorable moments in the future.
