I’ve heard form a lad in work that 2 coach loads of Cardiff fans are calling back at Swindon on Saturday 27th August after their game at Portsmouth. Whilst it is possible that you will find the odd clown on the bus, the chances are that the majority will be absolutely fine and out to enjoy a good night’s racing – they stopped on the way back from another away game a while ago and have been invited back (so they can’t have been that bad!). 2 things to consider here:
1. It sounds like a good opportunity to pop up to Swinedonia for a jolly. Train up and last train back sort of deal (unless we get numbers).
2. Might be a good opportunity to pop some of the new website’s info on how to “Join Us” – it’s on another section on here too – on leaflets and maybe pop them into the racecard as a flyer on this night. Maybe if we have access to a colour printer we can do it that way? Ok, we might get nothing from it, but there’s always a chance we will raise interest, especially if we make a mention that our current owners are living in the South Wales area.
3. And/or a sponsored race to raise opportunity. Be good to have a little marketing campaign at Swinedonia and this could be a good time to try it. We can double this up with a posting on the forum/Greyhound Scene and CCFC forums as well prior to the date.
